Just do three to start with, to get the hang of the process. You can paste multiple magnet links into Tixati so just keep switching back and forth collecting the torrents you want.

Right-click on the torrent name to open the page in a new tab. Within Tixati, Click Add > Open Magnet-Linkįind the torrents you want to save (I'd suggest the newer ones, the most well seeded ones, and the larger ones as the highest priority or your ones, if you have uploaded there).

Oh, and I'm using Windows and Chrome so, again, if you're using something else the instructions may need tweaking.Ģ.

You can do similar things with other torrent clients, but the instructions below will obviously need adjusting to suit. You don't have to, but doing so will keep this project from affecting your normal torrenting. Of course all sharing is good, so don't let me stop you, I'm just trying to minimize the loss / jump start the recovery. Also, you can cherry pick the old torrents to save the ones that are of proven high value to the community, rather than taking a punt on new stuff which might or might not be well supported. I would recommend NOT creating new torrents just yet, because there is far less work involved in resurrecting the old torrents (so you will get more bang for you buck, quicker). torrent files.ĭon't worry, there is a plan B, just want to actually check it out before I post about it though, make sure it works.

I'll grab whatever I can get, but at this point, it's likely to be better to simply make new torrents and upload them, as I do have a "substantial" library.Īh, I should have thought of that-a scrape of KAT wouldn't get the.

Not a single one would allow me to download a physical torrent, at least one of them wanted me to register a free account (ummmm.thanks, but nope. There are over 3000 torrents so you guys might want to use this thread to split the work up amongst yourselves, discuss priorities, etc. We don't have any rules against "dumping" as KAT calls it (but it's decent to give credit to the original uploaders in the torrent description), and you don't have to worry about trackers (TPB discards all trackers in uploaded torrents, and only hosts the magnet links).ĭoing so won't do any harm to the torrents (or the community) if KAT returns-on the contrary, it will inject new life into the swarms and provide a reliable back up for if KAT (or TPB) goes down again. Anyone downloading them from TPB will join (and contribute to) the existing swarms. Remember that if they're being seeded you don't need to seed them-leave that to the existing swarms while you focus on your rescue efforts. In any case, if they're not seeded now it's not as likely that they will be useful. If the torrents have no seeders it's possible (not certain, but possible) that they are not the original torrents. If the swarms are established it's fairly safe to assume they originated on KAT and are therefore uncompromised. I'd recommend only downloading torrents with established swarms (double check in your torrent client). You can download the torrent files from there, and copy the torrent descriptions, and upload them to TPB.

The torrents are available, at least for a while, from here: I don't use this stuff personally but a couple of KAT refugees have bemoaned the lack of DAZ 3D torrents on TPB.
